Colorado Rockies Sign Infielder
The Colorado Rockies have added to their depth, as they have signed Jason Hinchman to a minor league contract.
Hinchman just completed his collegiate career with Tennessee Tech, and now he is ready to begin his professional career because of it. The 23-year-old first baseman is understandably going to need some time in the minors due to this, but at the end of the day, it makes sense for the Rockies to take a chance on a young prospect like him.
During his senior season in 2022, he had an impressive 26 home runs and a .372 batting average in 57 games. Needless to say, he was very good for them and has the potential to provide a good amount of pop. Let's see if this translates over to professional baseball from here.
