Gile will more than likely be in Fresno/Spokane
Gile went undrafted after playing his final two seasons at Illinois State.
This past season, Gile slashed a strong .284/.350/.503, with nine home runs, 31 RBIs, one stolen base and 30 runs scored over 50 games.
The twenty-three-year-old was formerly selected by the New York Mets in the minor league portion of the Rule 5 draft.
Gile will add some depth in the lower levels of the Rockies' minor league system. It will probably be some time before he makes it to the majors, if at all.
