Colorado Rockies Sign Solid Contact-Hitting Infielder
A very intriguing addition by the Colorado Rockies.
The Rockies have signed infielder Harold Castro to a minor league contract with an invite to spring training.

Castro was non-tendered by the Detroit Tigers earlier this offseason.
The twenty-nine-year-old slashed a solid .271/.300/.381, with seven home runs, 47 RBIs and 37 runs scored over 120 games last season with the Tigers. Castro should benefit greatly from playing half of his games in batting average-inflating Coors Field this coming season.
Castro has a good chance at making the team's Opening Day roster.
For his five-year career, he owns a .284/.309/.377 triple-slash line, with 15 home runs, 125 RBIs, six stolen bases and 110 runs scored over 351 games.
