Cleveland Guardians Sign Catcher
The Cleveland Guardians have signed Cam Gallagher to a minor league contract.
Gallagher just completed a six-year stint with the Kansas City Royals, but now he is ready to begin his
journey with the Guardians. In 18 games last season with Kansas City, he had zero home runs, five RBIs, and a .214 batting average. Overall, it was a fairly underwhelming season in the majors for him when he was called up, but now he will be hoping to change that with Cleveland from here.
Gallagher will now provide Cleveland with an experienced catcher as a part of their depth. In 171 career MLB games, the 30-year-old has seven home runs, 39 RBIs, and a .214 batting average. We will have to wait and see how well he improves upon these numbers with Cleveland in 2023 from here.
