Cincinnati Reds Sign Flame-Throwing Pitcher

The Cincinnati Reds add a big arm.

The Reds have signed pitcher Tayron Guerrero to a minor-league contract with an invite to spring training.

Guerrero spent last season with the Chiba Lotte Marines of Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball, recording a 3.52 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 63 strikeouts over 46 innings.

The thirty-one-year-old measures in at 6-foot-8 and features triple-digit velocity on his fastball.

Guerrero last pitched in the majors in 2021 with the Miami Marlins, posting a poor 6.63 ERA with 25 strikeouts over 19 innings of work. He'll look to land a spot on the Reds' Opening Day roster.
