Chicago Cubs Sign Pitcher
The Chicago Cubs have signed Brad Wieck to a two-year minor league contract.
The reason why this is a multi-year pact for Wieck is that he had Tommy John surgery in July. As a result, he will miss a significant portion of the 2023 season.
With this move, the Cubs have brought in a pitcher who will need some time away to recover. However, we will have to wait and see if he can make an impact for them once he is healthy later down the road. Overall, there is no risk in this move.
