Chicago Cubs Sign Left-Handed Pitcher

Another move by the Chicago Cubs.

The Cubs have signed pitcher Ryan Borucki to a minor league contract.

The minor league deal is expected to include an invitation to spring training.

Borucki dealt with forearm troubles in 2022 and finished his season with an ugly 5.68 ERA and 21 strikeouts over 25.1 innings of work between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Mariners. However, the twenty-eight-year-old has had success in the past and will look to find that again on a prove-it deal with the Cubs.

The southpaw pitcher is a former 15th-round pick by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2012 MLB Draft.
