Boston Red Sox Sign Veteran Outfielder
The Boston Red Sox have made another move, as they have signed Adam Duvall to a one-year, $7 million contract. He also can earn up to $3 million in performance bonuses.
There were rumblings that the Red Sox were making a push to sign Duvall, and now they have successfully done just that. The 34-year-old outfielder is coming off of a bit of a down year for his standards, he had 12 home runs, 36 RBIs, and a .213 batting average in 86 games. However, he will now be aiming to bounce back in Boston.
At a minimum, the Red Sox have simply added to their outfield depth with this move. Yet, when noting that Duvall has hit over 30 home runs in three MLB seasons, he certainly has the potential to provide plenty more pop to their group if he heats up.
