Atlanta Braves Sign Infielder

The Atlanta Braves have made a depth move, as they have signed Ryder Jones to a minor league contract.

Jones has not appeared in the majors since the 2018 season, while he was a member of the San Francisco Giants. Now, in 2023, he will be aiming to change that by having an impressive spring training with the Braves. However, given the fact that it has been so many years since his last major league appearance, he will have to impress significantly for him to receive consideration for a call-up.

At a minimum, Jones will serve as a solid depth option for the Braves in the minors. He offers very solid versatility, as he can play first base and third base. Let’s see if he can sneak his way onto Atlanta’s major league roster for the start of the season from here.
