Atlanta Braves Sign Five-Year Veteran Pitcher

The Atlanta Braves add to their pitching depth.

The Braves have signed pitcher Yacksel Rios to a minor-league contract with an invite to spring training.

Ruis missed time with injury this past season and struggled with the Chicago White Sox's Triple-A affiliate, posting a 4.91 ERA, 1.82 WHIP, and 38 strikeouts over 33 innings of work.

The twenty-nine-year-old last pitched in the majors in 2021 with the Boston Red Sox, recording a 3.70 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 21 strikeouts across 24.1 innings of work. He'll attempt to win a bullpen spot with the Braves this season, but it's unlikely.
