Atlanta Braves Sign 3-Time Gold Glove Finalist
Atlanta Braves president of baseball operations Alex Anthopoulos knows full well what Kevin Pillar can do on a baseball field. AA watched from the GM's suite in 2015 as Pillar made incredible play after incredible play in the Toronto Blue Jays outfield, helping lead them to a division title.
Now, he's giving the 34-year-old version of Pillar another crack at the majors, in a minor league deal with the Atlanta Braves and an invite to spring training with the big club.
The Braves signed veteran outfielder Kevin Pillar to a minor-league deal, a source confirmed. He will make $3 million if he's in the majors. He'll be in big-league camp looking to make the team as depth. @Adams_Steve had the news.

Pillar will earn $3M if he makes the Braves' roster.
Pillar only played four games in the majors in 2022, with the Los Angeles Dodgers, before fracturing his shoulder and having season-ending surgery.
In his five years as a fan favorite in The Six, Pillar earned the nickname Superman for his airborne diving catches, and produced 57 Defensive Runs Saved in center field for the Jays.
Since leaving Toronto in 2019, he's played for five different teams across four seasons.
At spring training with the Braves, Pillar will battle it out with the likes of Eddie Rosario. Marcell Ozuna, Sam Hilliard, and Eli White for the left field and 4th outfielder jobs.
