Atlanta Braves Outright Infielder
Last week, the Atlanta Braves designated Hoy Park for assignment. Now, Park has cleared waivers and has been outrighted to Triple-A Gwinnett.
With this move, the Braves will now get to keep him as a part of their depth for the 2023 season. He will serve as a strong call-up option, as he can play second base, third base, and the outfield. As a result, he very well could see time in the majors when injuries inevitably occur during the year.
Yet, if he can impress at spring training, it could open the door for the Braves to select his contract before the start of the season. If they do, he could be on their opening day roster, which would certainly be a real win for him.
In 68 career MLB games, he has five home runs, 20 RBIs, and a .201 batting average.
