Atlanta Braves Bring Back Veteran Infielder
The Atlanta Braves have made a minor move, as they have signed old friend Adeiny Hechavarria to a minor league contract.
Hechavarria has over 900 games of MLB experience, but he also has not played in the majors since the 2020 season when he was a member of the Braves. During that campaign, he had a .254 batting average in 27 games. Overall, it was a fairly quiet year for him, but now he will be aiming to sneak his way back into the majors with the Braves in 2023.
Overall, there is no harm in the Braves taking a chance on Hechavarria. At worst, he will provide them with an experienced depth option in the minor leagues, but let's see if he can make the Opening Day roster this spring.
