Arizona Diamondbacks Add to Roster

The Arizona Diamondbacks have added to their depth, as they have signed Garrett Wolforth to a minor league deal. 

Wolforth split last season between Single-A+ and Double-A, where he had 11 home runs, 40 RBIs, and a .186 batting average in 80 games. Although he occasionally provided some offense at the plate, he also struggled for contact, as his batting average being under the Mendoza Line shows effectively. Needless to say, he will be aiming to bounce back in 2023 with the Diamondbacks organization.

Wolforth should serve as a decent minor leaguer for the Diamondbacks this season, but if he heats up, maybe we could see him rise the ranks and receive a call-up at some point during the year. Alas, time will tell on that front.
