Yankees Sign Former Red Sox Hurler
The New York Yankees have added a little pitching depth, adding 28-year-old former Boston Red Sox reliever Tyler Danish.
Yankees have added former CWS/BOS righty Tyler Danish on a minor league contract with an invite to spring training. 28 year old reliever appeared in 32 games for BOS, heavy curveball/sinker repertoire.

It's a minor league deal for Danish, with an invite to spring training with the Bronx Bombers.
He had been toiling mostly in the minors throughout his career, although he did compile 11 total appearances with the Chicago White Sox from 2016-2018 before the Red Sox gave him a shot in 2022. He pitched in 32 games out of the bullpen, finished 10 contests, and posted an ERA of 5.13 with a 1.29 WHIP. He maintained a solid 32:12 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 40.1 innings.
From all reports, it appears that the curveball is Danish's bread and butter (see what we did there?).
Tyler Danish is interesting, as he doesn't have a quality fastball (combined .431 wOBA allowed on his sinker and four-seam), but his curveball is absolutely filthy at a 117.2 Stuff+ and .233 wOBA allowed. What do you think about Danish? #NYY pic.twitter.com/YF3v2jiRus

According to @FiresideYankees, the metrics show terrific results for his curve. Perhaps, with that 5.13 ERA, the Yanks can get him to throw it a little more.
