Rogers underwent Tommy John surgery last September, and he will finish up his throwing program in February just before pitchers and catchers report to camp. In other good news, he's also been doing his regular offseason workout routine and has been participating in a normal offseason hitting program.
For his two-year career, the twenty-seven-year-old has a .182/.264/.378 triple slash line, with 10 home runs, 25 RBIs, one stolen base and 28 runs scored across 73 games played.
Rogers is a former third-round pick by the Houston Astros in the 2016 MLB Draft. He'll likely split time behind the plate with Eric Haase in 2023.
