San Francisco Giants Sign Pitcher
The San Francisco Giants have signed Raymond Burgos to a minor league contract.
Burgos spent this past season with the Cleveland Guardians organization. He spent the entirety of the year with Single-A+ Lake County, where he had an 8-3 record. 2.08 ERA, and 67 strikeouts. Overall, it was a very good year for the 6-foot-5 lefty, so it makes sense that the Giants have brought him in for some added pitching depth.
Burgos may not challenge for a spot on the Giants' roster, but if he continues to do well, he should have no trouble rising the ranks in the minor leagues. Alas, let's see how his 2023 season goes from here.
