San Francisco Giants Sign Pitcher

The San Francisco Giants have signed Ljay Newsome to a minor league contract.

Newsome last pitched in the majors during the 2021 season when he was with the Seattle Mariners. During that campaign, he put together a 1-1 record to go along with a 7.98 ERA in seven appearances. Needless to say, it was not the best of seasons for him, but now he will be hoping to changes things as a Giant.

With this signing, the Giants have added to their pitching depth, but we will have to wait and see if Newsome can become more than that in 2023.
