San Diego Padres Sign Former All-Star
The San Diego Padres have signed David Dahl to a minor league contract.
Dahl will be hoping to land himself back into the majors, but he will first need to impress the Padres at Spring Training. The 28-year-old outfielder last played in the majors during the 2021 season with the Texas Rangers, where he had four home runs, 18 RBIs, and a .210 batting average.
Dahl spent this past season split between Triple-A Nashville and Triple-A Rochester, where he had 10 home runs, 51 RBIs, and a .279 batting average in 85 games. Overall, it was not a bad year for the former All-Star, so let's see if the Padres end up giving him some major league time in 2023 from here.
