San Diego Padres Getting Trade Calls On Two Lineup Regulars
According to MLB Insider Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the Padres are receiving trade inquiries on Kim from teams wondering if they're looking to deal from strength.
“Padres general manager A.J. Preller acknowledged he has received trade inquiries on infielder Kim Ha-Seong and center fielder Trent Grisham since the team’s addition of free-agent shortstop Xander Bogaerts. Preller, however, does not sound inclined to make a move.” pic.twitter.com/rt9BAoR6yB

Padres president of baseball operations AJ Preller acknowledged that he's been getting calls on Kim as well as center fielder Trent Grisham since the team’s signing of Bogaerts. But, as Rosenthal also notes, "Preller...does not sound inclined to make a move."
The plan is for Tatis Jr., when he returns from his suspension on April 20th, to play the outfield, while Kim moves to 2nd base and Bogaerts mans the keystone.
As for Grisham, while he was a Gold Glover in center in 2022, he had a dreadful season at the plate, hitting .184 with an OPS+ of 83 (meaning he was 17% worse than the average player). Preller would be selling low on Grisham, and he's not normally in the business of doing that.
