Rockies ''Optimistic'' For Veteran Slugger In 2023
He got hit by the injury bug pretty hard in 2022.
However, Colorado Rockies general manager Bill Schmidt said that he's ''optimistic'' Kris Bryant will be healthy and ready to go for spring training.
I asked #Rockies GM Bill Schmidt about Kris Bryant, who was limited to 42 games in 2022:

"Our trainers and strength guys have checked in with him and from everything I’m being told he looks good. We are optimistic about him showing up (healthy) at spring training.”
Bryant only played 42 games last season in his Rockies' debut, having to deal with injuries like plantar fasciitis and back issues, costing him nearly four months.
When healthy, the thirty-year-old slashed a strong .306/.376/.475 line, with five home runs 14 RBIs and 28 runs scored.
The Rockies signed Bryant to a seven-year, $182 million contract last year, so they would hope to get much more out of the veteran slugger moving forward.
