NL Central Team Linked To Free Agent First Baseman
He was released by the Boston Red Sox last week.
Now, according to multiple reports, free agent first baseman Eric Hosmer is on the Chicago Cubs' radar.
Hosmer was designated for assignment by the Red Sox late last week after posting a .268/.334/.382 slash line, with eight home runs, 44 RBIs and 38 runs scored across 104 games between the San Diego Padres and the Red Sox during the 2022 season.

With the Cubs set on adding another bat this offseason, Hosmer wouldn't be a bad fit, however, there is also rumors that Dominic Smith and Trey Mancini remain on the team's radar as well. They would preferably add a left-handed bat first though.
The thirty-three-year-old Hosmer is entering his 12th major league season.
