New York Yankees Sign 2 Players
The New York Yankees have signed Demarcus Evans and Michael Hermosillo each to a minor league contract.
Evans last appeared in the majors during the 2021 season with the Texas Rangers. In 25 games that campaign, he had a 0-2 record to go along with a 5.13 ERA. Overall, it is fair to say that he struggled that year in Texas, but let's see if he can redeem himself in 2023 as a Yankee. First, he will need to impress and have his contract selected, of course.
Hermosillo, on the other hand, appeared in 31 games for the Chicago Cubs last season. During them, he had zero home runs, four RBIs, and a .115 batting average. The 6-foot outfielder has made appearances in the majors in each of the last five years, and now he will be hoping to change that to six in 2023 with New York.
