MLB Rumors: New York Yankees Going All-In For All-Star Starter
In a recent piece for the New York Post, MLB insider Jon Heyman reported that the New York Yankees are targeting free-agent starter Carlos Rodon heavily.
The Yankees recently brought back superstar Aaron Judge, but clearly, they are not done making moves. The Yankees need another ace-level pitcher to help them get past powerhouses like the Houston Astros and Los Angeles Dodgers, so it makes sense that they are going all-in for Rodon.
Rodon is the top free-agent starter available at this juncture and is coming off of a spectacular 2022 season. In 31 appearances for the San Francisco Giants, the 6-foot-3 lefty had a 14-8 record to go along with a 2.88 ERA. It will be intriguing to see if the Yankees can convince the All-Star starter to come to the Bronx from here.
