MLB Rumors: New York Mets Linked to Free-Agent Pitcher
According to Joel Sherman, the New York Mets are looking to sign a third starting pitcher this offseason, and Ross Stripling is on their radar.
Stripling just put together a very strong season with the Toronto Blue Jays, so the Mets will need to spend a good amount to sign him. In 32 appearances on the campaign, he sported a 10-4 record to go along with a 3.01 ERA. Overall, this was excellent stuff from the 6-foot-3 righty, so it makes sense that the Mets want to sign him.
We will have to wait and see if Stripling ends up becoming a Met from here. With the way they are spending at this juncture, it certainly seems possible.
