MLB Rumors: Minnesota Twins Linked to Star Shortstop
According to Aaron Gleeman of the Athletic, the Minnesota Twins are interested in signing Dansby Swanson.
The Twins have a massive hole at the shortstop position right now, as Carlos Correa is a free agent, and there's no guarantee that he will be heading back to Minnesota. As a result, there's a good chance that they will need to pick up a new shortstop, and Swanson certainly would be more than a consolation prize.
Swanson has emerged into an All-Star caliber shortstop, and the truth is in his stats from this past season. In 162 games, the 28-year-old had 25 home runs, 96 RBIs, and a .277 batting average. That will be enough to get him a big payday, so let's see if the Twins are the club to give him it.
