MLB Rumors: KC Royals Outfielder Becoming Trade Candidate
The Kansas City Royals have had a rather quiet offseason, but things could very well be changing on that front. Michael A. Taylor is starting to garner interest around the league, and a move centering around the 31-year-old outfielder could be on the way.
Taylor was in the rumor mill around the deadline, but the Royals did not receive a good enough offer to part ways with him. However, now that it is the offseason, things could certainly change on that front. As the outfield free-agent market continues to shrink, expect to see clubs be willing to give up more to acquire Taylor.
Taylor appeared in 124 games last season with the Royals, where he had nine home runs, 43 RBIs, and a .254 batting average. Those are decent numbers, but Taylor's speed and excellent fielding are what will make his market continue to grow from here.
