MLB Rumors: Houston Astros Making Big Push for 2 Outfielders
According to Jon Heyman, the Houston Astros are interested in signing Michael Conforto and Michael Brantley.
After missing the 2022 season due to injury, Conforto is now ready to go for 2023. The 29-year-old outfielder spent the 2021 season with the New York Mets, where he had 14 home runs, 55 RBIs, and a .232 batting average. Although it was a down year for him, he is a prime bounce-back candidate now that he is healthy.
Brantley, on the other hand, is a familiar face, as he has spent each of the last four seasons as an Astro. Over that span, he appeared in two All-Star Games, but he also is coming off of an injury-riddled season. In 64 games, he had five home runs, 26 RBIs, and a .288 batting average.
