MLB Rumors: Detroit Tigers Outfielder Becoming Trade Candidate
The Detroit Tigers are set to make changes after another rough season, and one player who is becoming a trade candidate because of this is Austin Meadows.
Meadows had a disastrous 2022 season, as he was limited to only 36 games due to injury. During them, the power hitter failed to hit a home run and had 11 RBIs and a .250 batting average. Overall, it was an underwhelming year for him when healthy, but now he will be aiming to bounce back in 2023.
Teams may be willing to take a chance on Meadows when looking at his success with the Tampa Bay Rays. However, if he starts the year in Detroit, don’t be surprised to see him dealt at the deadline if he is healthy and back to his old form.
