MLB Rumors: 2 Teams Linked to Seth Lugo

According to Jon Heyman, the San Diego Padres are interested in signing Seth Lugo as a starter. They have competition for his services, however, as the Boston Red Sox are also making a push for Lugo, according to Chris Costillo.

Lugo is coming off of a very strong season with the New York Mets that saw him put together a 3-2 record and a 3.60 ERA in 62 relief appearances. However, he is now hoping for the opportunity to be a starter again, and it is clear that both Boston and San Diego are open to the prospect of this.

It is also not too surprising to see the Red Sox and Padres both trying to sign Lugo. They each could use a boost with their pitching, so let's see if either club lands him from here.
