Minnesota Twins Sign First Baseman
The Minnesota Twins have added to their roster, as they have signed Tyler White to a minor league contract.
White has not played in the majors since the 2019 season, where he spent time split between the Houston Astros and Los Angeles Dodgers. In 83 games that campaign, he had three home runs, 23 RBIs, and a .208 batting average. Now, he will be hoping for the chance to get some playing time with the Twins in 2023.
Overall, there is no true harm in this move. At worst, the Twins have added to their infield depth and will have an experienced player who can help mentor their prospects. However, don't rule out the chances of White potentially landing a call-up at some point during the year.
