Milwaukee Brewers Sign Infielder
The Milwaukee Brewers have signed Eddy Alvarez to a minor league contract.
Alvarez appeared in 14 games with the Los Angeles Dodgers this past season, where he had zero home runs, three RBIs, and a .160 batting average. Overall, it is fair to say that he struggled in the majors when called upon, but now he will be hoping to change that in 2023 with the Brewers.
Overall, there's no harm in the Brewers taking a chance on Alvarez. At worst, he will be a decent depth option for Milwaukee. However, his versatility and ability to play multiple positions could help his chances of making their team as a utility player.
