Miami Marlins Sign Infielder
The Miami Marlins have signed C.J. Hinojosa to a minor league contract.
Hinojosa spent this past season with Triple-A El Paso, where he had 17 home runs, 83 RBIs, and a .291 batting average. Overall, it was a very solid season for the 28-year-old infielder, and now he will be hoping to build off of that momentum as a Marlin in 2023.
Hinojosa could end up being a decent utility option for the Marlins if he manages to make their major league roster. This is because he can play shortstop, second base, and third base. Alas, it will be intriguing to see what happens from here with the Houston native. At worst, Miami has simply added to their depth.
