Miami Marlins Sign Catcher

Austin Allen has found a new home, as he has inked a minor league contract with the Miami Marlins. 

Allen has made appearances at the major league level in each of the last four seasons. In five games last campaign with the Oakland Athletics, the 6-foot-2 catcher had one hit in 14 at-bats. In 2023, he will be hoping to earn himself a spot on the Marlins' major league roster and find more success at the plate in the process.

It is never a bad thing for a major league club to improve upon their catching depth, and that is exactly what Miami is doing with this Allen signing. Let's see if he can make an impact for the Marlins from here.
