Los Angeles Dodgers Sign Catcher

Patrick Mazeika has signed a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Mazeika spent the 2022 season with the New York Mets, where he had one home run, six RBIs, and a .191 batting average in 24 games. Overall, the 6-foot-3 catcher struggled at the plate when given the chance to play with the Mets, but now he will be hoping to change that in LA.

Mazeika will first need to impress to earn himself a spot on the Dodgers' major league roster. At worst, he will be a decent call-up option for when injuries occur during the season.
