Kansas City Royals Sign Pitcher

The Kansas City Royals have signed Brooks Kriske to a minor league contract.

Kriske spent this past season in the Japan Central League with the Yokohama Bay Stars. In 32 appearances on the year, he sported a 1-3 record to go along with a 3.25 ERA. Yet, after just one year overseas, the 6-foot-3 righty is ready to resume his North American professional career.

Kriske last appeared in the majors during the 2021 season, spending time with the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles. In 12 games between them, he had a 2-1 record but also a very high 14.29 ERA. Now, he will be hoping for the chance to redeem himself as a Royal.
