Kansas City Royals Sign Pitcher

The Kansas City Royals have signed Nick Wittgren to a minor league contract. 

Wittgren appeared in 29 games last season with the St. Louis Cardinals. It is fair to say that he struggled, as he had a 5.90 ERA. Needless to say, he will be hoping to find more success as a Royal from here.

With the Royals not having a strong bullpen, it could be enough for Wittgren to make their major league roster if he impresses at Spring Training. Alas, time will tell what happens on that front.
