Kansas City Royals Designate First Baseman for Assignment

The Kansas City Royals have designated Ryan O'Hearn for assignment.

This DFA is in response to the Royals officially signing Jordan Lyles. The Royals needed to free up a roster spot for him, so O'Hearn, unfortunately, was the player they decided to part ways with.

The Royals will now have to either trade or place O'Hearn on waivers from here. In 67 games this past season with KC, he had one home run, 16 RBIs, and a .239 batting average.
