Former Washington Nationals Pitcher Signs Overseas
Erick Fedde is heading overseas, as he has signed a one-year deal with the NC Dinos of the Korea Baseball Organization.
Fedde was selected in the first round of the 2014 MLB Draft and made appearances with the Nationals in each of the last six seasons. Unfortunately, he was never able to emerge as a top-tier starter, and this trend remained true in 2022. In 27 appearances for the Nationals on the year, he had a 6-13 record and 5.81 ERA. This led the Nats to finally move on from the 6-foot-4 righty, and now he is testing his luck overseas.
If Fedde can put together a big year with the Dinos, it could open the door to another MLB team taking a chance on him for the 2024 season. Time will tell what happens on that front.
