Detroit Tigers Sign Pitcher
The Detroit Tigers have signed Kervin Castro to a minor league contract.
Castro split this past season between the San Francisco Giants and Chicago Cubs, where he had a 0-1 record to go along with a 10.22 ERA in 10 appearances. Needless to say, the 6-foot righty struggled in the majors when called upon. Now, he will be aiming to change that with the Tigers from here.
With Castro still being young, it makes sense that a rebuilding club like the Tigers are taking a chance on him. Let's see if he can impress at Spring Training and have his contract selected to the major league squad from here.
