Detroit Tigers Designate Outfielder for Assignment

The Detroit Tigers have designated Bligh Madris for assignment. This move comes after the Tigers claimed Mario Feliciano off of waivers.

Madris was recently claimed off of waivers by the Tigers from the Tampa Bay Rays. Being DFA'd is a very familiar occurrence for the outfielder. It will be intriguing to see if this latest trip to the waiver wire leads him to be claimed again.

Teams looking for some outfield depth could consider the prospect of claiming Madris. In 39 games this season as a rookie with the Pittsburgh Pirates, he had one home run, seven RBIs, and a .177 batting average.
