Colorado Rockies Sign Pitcher

The Colorado Rockies have signed Phillips Valdez to a minor league contract.

Valdez appeared in 13 games for the Boston Red Sox this past season, where he had a 0-1 record to go along with a 4.41 ERA. Overall, he had mixed results in the majors with Boston, but now he will be aiming for more success with the Rockies from here.

Overall, there's no harm in the Rockies taking a chance on Valdez. Let's see if he can impress at Spring Training and earn himself a major league spot for Opening Day.
