Cleveland Guardians Sign Star First Baseman

The Cleveland Guardians have signed Josh Bell to a two-year, $33 million contract.

It had been previously reported that Bell was on the Guardians' list, and now they have landed their guy. This is a nice payday for the veteran first baseman, while the Guardians are benefitting by adding some much-needed pop to their lineup.

Bell is coming off of a good season that saw him hit 17 home runs to go along with 71 RBIs and a .266 batting average. It will be intriguing to see how he performs for Cleveland over these next two years from here. With the Guardians aiming to get back into the playoffs next season, this is exactly the kind of move they should be making.
