Boston Red Sox & Kansas City Royals Complete Trade
The Boston Red Sox have acquired Wyatt Mills from the Kansas City Royals in exchange for Jacob Wallace.
Mills split this past season between the Seattle Mariners and Royals, where he sported a 0-1 record to go along with a 4.60 ERA in 27 games. He will be hoping to find a bit more consistency as a member of the Red Sox in 2023. Given Boston's weak bullpen, he has a decent shot of making their Opening Day roster. After all, acquiring him did lead to veteran infielder Eric Hosmer being designated for assignment.
Wallace, on the other hand, spent all of last season with Double-A Portland, sporting an 8-2 record and 3.81 ERA in 47 games. Following the move, he has been assigned to Double-A Northwest Arkansas. Let's see how he performs from here.
