Baltimore Orioles Sign Pitcher

The Baltimore Orioles have added to their pitching, as they have inked Ofreidy Gomez to a minor league deal.

Gomez split this past season between Double-A and Triple-A, where he had a 1-3 record to go along with a 5.19 ERA in 38 games. Overall, it was not a particularly strong year for the 27-year-old, but he will be hoping to change that in 2023 with the Orioles organization.

Following this signing, the Orioles sent Gomez to Triple-A Norfolk. Should he impress while with them, perhaps Baltimore will call him up at some point during the year. Alas, time will tell on that front.
