Baltimore Orioles Sign Outfielder
The Baltimore Orioles have signed Nomar Mazara to a minor league deal.
Mazara will provide the Orioles with a bit more outfield depth. The 27-year-old has made appearances at the major league level in each of the last seven seasons. With the San Diego Padres in 2022, he had two home runs, 18 RBIs, and a .264 batting average in 55 games. When called upon, he played well for the Padres, so that should help his chances of getting some consideration for a call-up in 2023.
Mazara has hit the 20-home run plateau three times over his career but has not since 218. Let's see if he can tap into those previous power numbers this campaign as an Oriole.
