Arizona Diamondbacks Sign Outfielder

The Arizona Diamondbacks have signed Phillip Evans to a minor league contract. 

Evans last played in the majors with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2021. During that season, he had five home runs, 16 RBIs, and a .206 batting average. Overall, it was not a particularly impressive season from the outfielder, but he will now aiming to change that in Arizona.

With the D-Backs sporting a weak roster, it could be enough for Evans to earn himself a spot in the majors for Opening Day. Alas, we will have to wait and see what occurs on that front from here.
