Yankees Speedy Outfielder Elects Free Agency

The speedy outfielder is joining free agency.

The New York Yankees sent outfielder Tim Locastro outright to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, but the outfielder rejected the outright and has elected free agency.
Locastro only got into 38 games at the major league level this past season, slashing .186/.239/.349, with two home runs, four RBIs, eight stolen bases and 13 runs scored over 38 games.

Known more for his elite speed, the thirty-year-old had the fastest tracked foot speed in the 2021 season. He has 39 career steals over his six-year major league career, spanning 247 games.

Locastro will likely have to settle for a minor-league deal this offseason.
