Washington Nationals Release Pitcher
The Washington Nationals have released Seth Romero due to his driving while intoxicated charge. This was Romero's second DWI charge since January.
Romero has not pitched in the majors since 2020, where he appeared in three games for the Nationals. During them, he allowed four earned runs in 2.2 innings pitched. From there, Romero has solely pitched in the minor leagues.
Romero was the Nationals' 2017 first-round pick, so it is a shame that his time with the organization had to end in this kind of manner.
With this move, the Nationals' 40-man roster is down to 38 players.
