Toronto Blue Jays Re-Sign Infielder

The Toronto Blue Jays have re-signed Vinny Capra, inking him to a minor league contract. 

It seemed very likely that Capra's time in Toronto was coming to a close, as he was non-tendered by them on Friday (Nov. 18). Yet, it appears that the Blue Jays had a change of heart, and now Capra will remain within their system. This is even after there was "strong interest elsewhere," according to Robert Murray.

Capra will serve as a depth option for the Blue Jays yet again in 2023. In his first eight MLB games this past season, he had one hit in five at-bats (.200 batting average).
